Care and Feeding of your Generator

Some useful information:

• The generator is designed to be worry-free and operate fully whether or not anyone is home.

• It runs a self-test every week.

  During the self-test, you will not lose power or need to reset clocks. (You don't have to be home either.)

  On some systems, the exercise time can be selected.

  It runs for about 15 minutes to exercise and lubricate parts.

• The system electronics keep a log of how much the generator runs for exercising and during power outages.
• We highly recommend a maintenance contract is for 2 visits a year. Lack of maitenance can keep the generator from working when you need it. We check on overall condition of the generator, usage information, and replace spark plugs, oil, filters per the manufacturer's specification.
